The RESEARCH learning place looks at a variety of collective, artistic and activist research practices. In pursuing many of the socio-political and (art-) historical topics rarely taught in schools, the early nGbK project groups made a stand against the academic canon. In the 1970s the use of art to advance Marxist social research clashed with the »RealismusStudio« standpoint: that art, in and of itself, is a means of knowledge production and research.
What kind of knowledge producer was the nGbK, and could such research methodologies persist outside of the established knowledge economies?

With: Kathrin Busch, Alice Creischer/Andreas Siekmann, Christin Lahr, Silvan Linden, Annette Maechtel, Sandrine Micosse-Aikins, Beatrice von Bismarck, Anna Voswinckel
