This workshop within the „Gastarbeiter 2.0“ exhibition was initially thought of as a meeting point for the guest-workers who came to Berlin from Yugoslavia. In an attempt to locate a distinct group self-recognised as Yugoslav guest-workers, our quest led us to the „Dobar dan“ group – an open, self-managed group that has convened fortnightly for over a decade. Over the past two months, the workshop’s author has immersed herself in their midst, forging bonds with regulars who expressed interest in the workshop’s involvement.

Workshop participants - members of the group „Dobar dan“ - along with a social pedagogue accompanying them, will view the works in the exhibition and discuss them from the perspective of their lived experience as guest workers.
