YOUNG INTIMACIES was an interdisciplinary artistic outreach project that was part of the Viral Intimacies exhibition at nGbK Berlin. It was aimed at young people between the ages of 14 and 18 and pursued the goal of using artistic means to open up spaces in which young people could critically, creatively, and independently engage with the topics of HIV/AIDS, sexuality, health, and social exclusion.
The project comprised eight school project days with the Max Beckmann Secondary School and the Evangelische Schule Berlin-Zentrum, as well as a film workshop for queer young people during the fall break with Trialog Jugendhilfe GmbH – Bereich Queer Leben und Queerdom – Queeres Jugendzentrum Berlin-Mitte.
Concept & direction: Madi Awadalla, Pascale Espinosa, Christina Harles
Project coordination: Elisabeth Krämer
The project was funded by the Berlin Project Fund for Cultural Education.
