The documentary film „Viel zu viel verschwiegen“ by Christina Karstädt and Anette von Zitzewitz is dedicated to the life stories of lesbian women in the GDR. Fourteen of them talk about their relationships with women, experiences of marginalization and experiences with state security. They talk openly about strategies of resistance, dealing with discrimination and their commitment to political visibility.

The artist Luise Schröder will be a guest on this evening to talk with Christina Karstädt about the making of the film. The focus will be on the significance of the film as a contemporary document. However, it is also about references to the present. The audience is invited to join in the discussion afterwards.
